Step 1 pick up food.....

Jack has been able to get food into the dogs mouths forever, but he recently just mastered the art of getting food into his own. He's been able to get dry stuff (like goldfish) into his trap for a while, but today he was able to get sticky sliced cheese pieces in there. Yeah!

Yummy!

Peek-a-boo?

Jack has made up his own version of peek-a-boo. Yeah, he plays the traditional "blanket over the face" version, but he seems to prefer his own way. He sticks his head and half his upper body into the cubby of my night stand and waits for me to say "where's Jack?" After that's said he gets very excited and pops out. At this point I'm suppose to say, "there you are!" Then he waits for me to say "can you do it again?" Then we replay the whole event.

Little Monster

Well, I laid down Jack for a nap this afternoon and he decided he didn't want to take a nap. So I thought I'll do the "put yourself to sleep thing". Thinking I would teach him a lesson I let him play in his crib by himself for about an hour, finally I sent Shaun in to get him. Turns out, he taught me a lesson. Over the baby monitor I hear Shaun laughing and saying, "your a very bad boy" then "Jeannie, you might want to come fix this". I walk in to find he has completely pulled down the curtain including the brackets out of the wall. It also appears that he has taken a bite out of the honeycomb shade. Guess he was hungry. All you can do is see the humor in it and laugh!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

With all this early hot weather Jack has been "swimming" a lot. We fill this big tub up with water and he has a great time.

Book Worm

Jack is really into books now. He'll sit forever if you keep reading to him. Right now one of his favorites is "I am a Bunny", he's reading it to himself in the pictures below.

Easter

Well the Easter bunny visited Jack and brought him all sorts of goodies. We're lucky that both sets of his grandparents live nearby, so he got to hunt eggs at both his grannies houses. At the Conner's he got to hunt eggs with cousins Conner and Makaelah, and they took a quick dip in the pool afterward to cool off. Then we went over to the Beauchamp side, where he got to hunt eggs with his cousins Jamie and Cassie. He had a great first Easter.

Jack's 1st Birthday

Well Jack's first birthday party went very well, if you could ignore the heat. Jack must be really loved because almost everyone we invited was able to attend, even though it was the day before Easter. We really appreciated everyone taking the time to come. Jack had a great time even though he had a new tooth come in the day of the party and another one the day before (poor little guy). There were little kids everywhere and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves.

New Conner Family Blog

I wanted to start a blog to keep everyone up on what is going on with Jack and our family. Bear with me, I'm new at this.
